Trying to troubleshoot a humming sound coming from my computer.?

I replaced the power supply and that did not fix a loud humming sound coming from my computer. Also, when I unplug the processor fan the sound is still there! The sound does not seem to be coming from the hard drive, but rather near the processor itself. Do processors make noise? I know that can't be good, so what is the life expectancy?
