How is the chemical composition of carbon monoxide, CO, similar to that of CO2? how is it different?

carbon monoxide is different from carbon dioxeide.. if you just look at their formulas, you can say that they differ in their chemical compositions.. carbon monoxide contains one atom of carbon and oxygen while carbon dioxide contains one atom of carbon and two atoms of oxygen..
