Do I Need Surgery For Scoliosis?

I just recently found out that I have scoliosis, and I'm petrified... I am uninformed on the condition as of now and I don't know if I need surgery, I don't want that at all, no one will like me, I hope I don't have to wear a back brace and suspend my life, please help!
