I'd like to further develop my skills in snowboarding..?

i've been snowboarding for a while now and im decent. The thing is watching my older cousins go to the terrain park ticks me off. I'd like to start doing tricks and what not but i don't wanna make an idiot out of myself. Any suggestions? tips.. anything for a beginner?
